God has told me the party that ’ll win 2015 elections —Primate Ayodele

In this interview with AYOMIDE OWONIBI, Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of Inri Spiritual Evangelical Church, speaks about the future of Nigeria, and what Nigerians should expect in 2015.

Visions for Nigeria in the first quarter of the year
Prayers are all what we need to keep the country intact, to bring peace to the country. As a matter of fact, a lot is still going to happen and Nigerians still need to be praying ahead. I am using this meduim to appeal to all Christians and Nigerians who believe in the tomorrow of this country to pray.

If Nigerians can exercise patience, I see the economy booming. I see expatriates coming into this country because our economy would be one of the best in Africa come 2017. But the point is that we have to pray that God should keep Nigeria as one nation. The government has not really addressed the issue of one nation as expected. We need prayers for God’s divine intervention.

On insecurity
If this government tries to have any kind of amnesty with Boko Haram, it would cause problems for this country. The government should not take it lightly with Boko Haram; they should fight the war against them. I see other nations supporting Nigeria in the long run. Boko Haram would still make the FG spend a lot of money. On the issue of Boko Haram, the CIA has misled the Nigerian government about it. As said by the Lord, America should be blamed, as directed by the Lord. These people are not spirits. I don’t know whether the government is afraid to address things the way they are. They should address it from the roots.

We said it earlier this year that Abuja must be very watchful because there is going to be an attack on Abuja. The government should work more on security so that Nigerians can be protected.

Nigerians don’t understand when a man of God speaks. We should not blame many men of God who said things in the back that did not come to pass. Everything is in the hands of God. He is the one who has the final say about everything that happens. What I am saying in essence is that APC will not make the presidency in 2015, though it will be very tough.

Specifically, are you seeing Jonathan as President in 2015?
I am not talking about Jonathan here. I am talking about the party. I am saying again, PDP will make it in 2015. There is still going to be more negotiations. Honestly speaking, if the Vice-President does not sit up, his position would be used for negotiations. Most of the defected government if not all, two would come back to PDP. There would still be more defections. APC cannot fight PDP, as they don’t have the mandate. APC did not ask from God before they came together so they cannot stand.

Another thing is that the weather forecast in Lagos State, which said that rain would fall for 265 days is a lie. The Lord told me that it is a lie. There would be rain but not for 265 days. The meteorologists have made a big blunder. Nobody determines the work of God.

What are your thoughts about the missing Malaysian plane?
The missing Malaysian plane is riddled with politics. The people should put pressure on the Malaysian government. There is more to that missing plane than meets the eye. I would say it again, the government is involved. The government should be queried about the missing plane. It is not a crashed plane at the moment, but a missing plane.

How about Rivers State?
If Rivers State is not careful enough, PDP might take over the state. PDP would take over Akwa Ibom. Also, if care is not taken, PDP would take over Sokoto State. These are the states that God has revealed to me that PDP would take over.

I see the flag of Nigeria changing. At the end of it all, there is still going to be another constitution review. I see that there is going to be something like a referendum. I see a confab where there would be an adoption of referendum. There would be elections in 2015 despite insinuations that there would be none.

I see NFF having problems with Keshi. As a matter of fact, Keshi might not finish his tenure. Nigeria would not perform as expected at the World Cup. We should not expect much from Nigeria at the World Cup.

There is a lot that still needs to be done in the education sector. There would be so many changes especially in the UTME as it would be scrapped. Some universities hoping to get licences would be stopped. ASUU would still go on strike, doctors would still go on strike.

Nigeria’s economy will not be fantastic in 2014. The price of food items will go up. Some markets will be shut down in the Eastern part of the country and in the Southern part. Prices of garri, palm oil and flour will go up. Price of vegetable will go up. Jonathan’s presidential economic team will fail him. Some ministers will be eased out while new ones will come in.

The excess crude oil account will cause problems. I see that Nigeria will borrow money.

I don’t know when this will come up but Aba will be the China of Nigeria where Nigeria will produce vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles. Exotic guns will be made in Nigeria. I am not saying it will happen in 2014 but it is part of the things that we should be expecting in the nearest future.

Nigeria’s unity
It may take 30 or 50 years but Nigeria cannot stay together for another 100 years.

The Minister of Finance would have crisis and if care is not taken, she might not finish her tenure.  I see the GMD of NNPC having problems. The price of petrol would still go up. Price of Flour would still increase. I see blessings for Nigeria in agriculture. Each state governor should still go and work on agriculture. EFCC would still expose a many politicians.

The Youths Against Human Rights Violation And Corrupt Practices (YAHVCP ) is demanding for the removal of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Egbema Police Station CSP   Egbo from Egbema. Egbema is in Ohaji/Egbema LGA in Imo State of Nigeria. Egbo is notorious for raiding junctions, streets, compounds, shops, businesses and markets in Egbema for indiscriminate arrest and illegal detention of Egbema youths in order to forcefully extort money from them. At least 50 youths are arrested daily in Egbema by the DPO and his men and detained in the station in the community. Any of the captives whose parents or friends are able to pay some outrageous amount of money, in most cases as high as N30,000, are released, while those that cannot bail themselves out usually find their way to prison on false criminal charges.

The residents of the community have petitioned the police authorities in the community and at Owerri State command for an immediate end to illegal police raids and extortions several times, to no avail. YAHVCP members have campaigned against this police brutality in Egbema to no avail. Since Egbo came in as Egbema police boss the serene atmosphere in the 13 communities in Egbema   has been shattered with an upsurge in cult related killings that have turned the once lovely communities into a theatre of war. According to our exclusive investigation the cultists spreading across different types now kill, maim and destroy at will. Over 30 young men have been cut down in their prime including a young man known as Mento from Umuorji-Egbema.Deaths have been reported in Abacheke, Obiakpu, Mgbara, Etekwuru and Umuorji.

The brazen extortion of motorists and okada riders by the police under Egbo at check points near Mmahu   is a daily fact. The National Cordinator of YAHVCP Mr Kenneth Uwadi was once humiliated when he was stopped at one of the check points and was asked to pay 5000 as bribe for his driving license which expired just for a day and when he refused one of the policemen barked at him and threatened to hit him, shouting ” You may report us to the commissioner of police or to Governor Okorocha, we don’t care… get out! Stupid -man. I can shoot you now”.

There is widespread public resentment and loss of trust in Egbo . YAHVCP is also not happy with the harassment ,intimidation ,false and malicious prosecution of the Ezeali of Enyi village Chief Vitus U . Nwokeukwu by CSP Egbo. Chief Nwokeukwu ,79 years old, was falsely accused by his kinsman Mr Celestine Aligbua who reported that Nwokeukwu called him on phone threatening his life. CSP Egbo did not investigate the matter but detained the 79 years old chief without food nor water in a dark police cell for 18 hours. He was not allow to call his wife. His phone was confiscated, his pairs of leather slippers were confiscated and his recommended glasses. After detaining him for eighteen hours and asking for a bail fee of 30,000 which the Chief could only afford 5000 naira .He was charged to court without police investigation of even MTN call log.

Chief Nwokeukwu thought the 30,000 naira bail fee was a rude joke. Those who came to bail him went and complained to the DPO CSP Egbo but to their chagrin, the DPO told them that ‘bail is not free’ . Since Chief Nwokeukwu could not afford 30,000 naira bail money a corporal at the counter ordered him to take off his shirt , Incredible! He shouted. He was woken up from his slumber when a junior officer shoved him and marched him into the dark cell, laughing at his skinny chest and taunting him that he do not even have a potbelly with his status as a Chief/Ezeali. Saying,” Even Joseph went to the prison too,” and telling him to take heart .

YAHVCP is shock at the level of corruption and abuse of citizens’ rights by a senior officer of the level of a DPO. We are saying that CSP Egbo is definitely the bad influence on other junior personnel under him. That a DPO could say openly that ‘bail is not free’ and descends to the level of assaulting and denying an innocent suspect bail because his relatives refused to offer bribe tells so much of the character of the officer. He is definitely one of the officers in the police that constitute a bad example to the rank and file and who gives the police a bad image. There is no doubt that such a DPO does not deserve to spend one more day in Egbema.YAHVCP is calling for his removal as DPO of Egbema police station.

Video: Drunken Mobile Policeman Caught Assaulting Two Women In Lagos

A drunken police officer with the Mobile Police Unit #20, in Lagos, who was later identified as Tafa Mohammed, was caught breaking the law.

A citizen video photographer captured officer Mohammed brutalizing two women with a hidden camera, filming this disturbing footage at a safe distance. This illegal action by the officer erupted when a street food vendor would not issue him fish to finish up his beer.

The food vendor was said to have declined to sell fish alone, except to those buying food with it, a vendor policy that angered the policeman. Mohammed, a mobile policeman, was reeking of alcohol, say eyewitnesses to this event. Mohammed took on a female customer who was buying food from the same vendor at the time he got there, and threw her into a nasty pond of putrid muddy water. Continue after the cut.

This assault on the two women took place at Lewis Street, Lafiaji, Obalende on the Lagos Island. Mohammed is seen drawing a rifle and pointing it at one of the women, an act of ‘pistol whipping,’ and he was backed-up with the presence of a second MOPOL officer. One round of ammunition was fired.

The torture reportedly caused internal injuries for the victim. A crowd of bystanders, and pedestrians can be heard shouting their displeasure at both officers.

We Pose As Big Girls On Badoo Dating Site To Defraud Men- 5-Man Gang – See more at: http://citypeoplenews.com/#sthash.3cvuRBDo.dpuf

If you love meeting women online, then I think this is for you and vice versa too, because it could happen to women as well. Read;

A five-man gang of kidnappers and thieves, Micheal Eneji, his brother, Emmanuel Eneji, Chukwu Chibueze, Gift Princess, and Lekia Emmaden Isaac, who have been in the deadly game for a while now, have finally been arrested by Rivers State police command men.

They confessed using pretty girls’ pictures to entice men from the dating site in other to rob them and later leave them in the bush to die. The gang leader, Michael Eneji, 27, whose fiancée is the only female among them narrated how they carry out their operations. His words after the cut;

At the police station, the leader of the gang, Michael Eneji, a 27-year-old footballer confessed to the crime and said that his gang didn’t know that the late Shola would not be able to escape from the forest after dispossessing him of his valuables.

In his words: “When I couldn’t afford to pay my school fees, I decided to go into love dating scam. I dwell mainly on Badoo chat that most Nigerian men visit regularly. I surf the net and select pictures of black models and impersonate them. As soon as they see this picture, some will send a message and I will reply. They will ask for my number and I will give them. I also have a Tecno phone that has a special voice prompt that allows a man to sound like a woman.

Once I establish a contact, I will go to the next step which is to convince them that I will satisfy their sexual urge.

“Pretending to be a big girl, I will tell them to meet me at a Conoil petrol station, before the trailer park along Eleme road while one of my boys, Chibueze will go there and meet them as my domestic servant and direct them to my house. To convince them to come, I will claim that I live in one of the estates alone and it will be safer to meet there so that they will not be caught.

“In their car, Chibueze will tell them to drive towards a deserted place where we will lay ambush. Dressed in police uniform, we will stop them and demand to know what they are doing in such a deserted place. We will overpower them and tie their hands and legs while we take their valuables, including their ATM cards.

“Two of us will go to the bank and withdraw money from their account through their ATM. If there is no money in the account, we will loosen the rope and disappear. This will enable the person to untie himself and go home.”

According to Eneji, they have fleeced so many men before they were arrested. “I never knew that Mr. Disi and Shola did not escape till I was arrested.  I can only recall that both of them had so much money in their accounts, so we decided to keep them for some days to enable us to withdraw enough money from their accounts”, he added.

On how he lured their latest victim, the suspect said: “Shola showed interest in having an affair with the lady he saw on my Badoo display picture. He demanded to see her, so I told him that I am free around 7pm and he told me that it was the perfect time to hang out.

“At about that time, he drove to the spot with his driver and Chibueze, who was on ground, joined him. He directed them to the spot and we took over the car, tied him and the driver up. He did not have much cash with him unlike the others. When we got to the bank, I realised that he had about N4.5 million in his account. Blindfolded, we took him further into the bush and decided to keep him there for some days to enable us to empty that account while the driver must have escaped from the initial spot where he was tied. Few days later, we were arrested. I never knew that he did not escape alive,” Eneji narrated.

Continuing, he said: “The second victim, Mr Disu was not my contract. It was Elijah the leader of another group that contracted me to help execute the job. I became interested when he told me that the maga (the late Disu) works with Shell company. All I did was to lure him to visit by promising him good sex. I do not know if they killed him because of the huge amount that was found in his account. The truth is that we do not kill, but rob them of their valuables.  We will sell the car, withdraw as much as we can from their ATM and disappear. We know that such crime might not be reported because the man will not tell his family or the police why he was robbed to protect his image. It is unfortunate that they died; we left them there still breathing. The only difference is that we did not loosen the rope so that they can easily escape.”

On the role of the lady in their midst, Eneji said: “She is my fiancée and I normally use her to further convince our target to assume that we are real. If the target insists that I should come and see him, I will send my girl to go and meet him.  She will be the one that will lure them to the spot where we can take over.”

He also revealed that he is known in Badoo as Cindy and Empress. “Once you search for beautiful models on Google search, you will have so many options. If you want so many toasters, select the ones that expose their breasts. I am terribly sorry that these men died in the process. We found out that it is easier to collect money in exchange for sex.

“I dropped out of school because my rich relatives refused to help my mother to train us. I can only get money from them if I send a woman to go and seduce them. I am terribly sorry.”

Boko Haram claims responsibility for Abuja bombing

The extremist Boko Haram sect has claimed responsibility for Monday’s deadly car bomb at Nyanya bus station near Abuja, which killed at least 75 people and injured 124 more. “We are the ones that carried out the attack in Abuja,” Boko Haram’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, was quoted as saying in a new video obtained by the AFP news agency. PREMIUM TIMES has not independently verified the report, but the French news agency has published several videos from the extremist group in the past. The agency said the video was delivered in a manner consistent with previous videos from the Boko Haram sect. In the 28-minute clip, Mr. Shekau is dressed in military uniform and sits with a Kalashnikov resting on his left shoulder, the AFP reported. He spoke in both Arabic and Hausa. “We are in your city but you don’t know where we are,” the terrorist leader quipped at President Goodluck Jonathan. The Nyanya car bomb targeted ordinary working class people leaving early for work in Abuja’s city centre. Police and witnesses have spoken of a lone man driving a Volkswagen Gulf into the packed bus station and detonating the bomb-laden car. The attack was followed hours later by the mass abduction of at least 129 girls from Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State. The state authorities say 44 of the girls have now been joined with the families having escaped from their captors. The video made no reference to the kidnappings. While the Nigerian government immediately blamed Boko Haram for the Abuja bombing on Monday, little is known of the efforts by law enforcement at apprehending and punishing the perpetrators. Thea attack was the first major onslaught on Abuja in two years. -

Business Man And Shell Manager Lured and Killed By Fraudsters On Dating Website

A manager in Shell Development Petroleum Company (SDPC) Nigeria and a businessman have been allegedly killed in Rivers State by fraudsters impersonating as women on a dating site. The corpses of the victims and one other unidentified person have been recovered in a bush by the police in the state.

The late Shell manager, Mr. Progress Benin Disi, went missing on March 7, while Shola Olaseinde, the businessman got missing on March 26. Police, it was gathered, were initially working on kidnap until investigation led them to the discovery of a syndicate said to specialise in luring people, especially rich men through dating sites with a view to ripping them off.
The detectives reportedly opened communication with the gang and were able to arrest five of them including a pregnant woman. The expectant mother, it was learnt, was the bait used by the gang to engage their victims in sweet talks by phone. The leader of the group identified as, Micheal Eneji a 27 year- old footballer said they were unaware of Olaseinde’s death until their arrest. Asked how they killed their victims, he said: “We will take their ATM cards and go to the bank with the pin number they gave us and begin to withdraw N100, 000 every day until the account is blocked. “We did not know that Olaseinde and Disi were unable to untie themselves like others before them and escape”.

He blamed his involvement in crime on hard times. “When I couldn’t afford to pay my school fees, I decided to go into love dating scam. I dwell mainly on Badoo that many Nigerian men visit regularly. “I surf the net and select pictures of black models and impersonate them by using them as my own so that the men will think they are dealing with a woman. As soon as they see the picture, some send a message to me and I will respond. “They will ask for my number and I will give them. While in their cars, Chibueze will tell them to drive towards a deserted place where we would lay ambush for them, dressed in police uniforms. We will stop them and demand to know what they are doing in such a deserted place. “We will over power them and tie their hands and legs while we take their valuables including their ATM card. “Two of us will go the bank and withdraw money from their account through their ATM. If there no much money in the account, we will release loosen the rope and disappear this will enable the person to untie himself and go home.” Eneji confessed that the gang had defrauded a lot of men before they were arrested. He said that the gang kept Olaseinde and Disi for several days to enable them (gang) deplete their ‘huge’ accounts.

On how Olaseinde was killed, he said: “I told him to come around 7pm and he told me that it was the perfect time to hang out. At about that time, he drove to the spot with his driver and Chibueze who was on ground joined him. “He directed them to the spot and we took over the car, tied him and his driver up. He did not have much cash with unlike the others. If the target insists that I should come and see him, I will send my girl to go and meet him. She would be the one that will lure them to the spot where we can take over.” He goes by the names Cindy and Empress on Badoo.

“Once you search for beautiful models on Goggle search, you will have so many options. If you want so many toasters, select the ones that expose their breast. I am terribly sorry that these men died in the process. We found out that it is easier to collect money in exchange for sex. I dropped out of school because my rich relatives refused to help my mother to train us. I can only get money from them if I send a woman to go and seduce them. I am terribly sorry.” A member of the gang , Lekia Emmaden Isaac, said his own duty was to tie their victims. He said: “We have done that severally and when we return, we found that they have escaped. “I did not kill Olaseinde. All I did was to tie him up very well so that he would not escape immediately. I was shocked when I heard that he was found dead. It is possible that a snake attacked him since he was kept in a deserted area.”

Chibueze, a 17 year-old, who acted as domestic servant said his duty was just to take the victim to a spot where they would be attacked by the other members of the gang. “I did not participate in the main robbery; all I did was to take the suspect to the point where he would be robbed.” Gift Princess, the expectant mother said: “Olaseinde called, requesting that I should direct him. I then told him that my domestic servant would wait for him at the agreed spot. “He later called back complaining that he was not comfortable with the route that they passed through. Unfortunately, he was already at the spot and my fiancé, Eneji and others took over from there. “ I was only helping my husband to raise enough money to pay for my bride price.” The State Command Commissioner of Police, Tunde Ogunsakin said operatives acted based on a report by the family of one of their victims, Olaseinde that he had been kidnapped. “When his family waited for him and could not reach him, they lodged a complaint and I instructed the officer in charge of Anti Kidnapping, CSP Akan to hunt for the missing father of two. Through Intelligence gathering, we were able to arrest the gang .

They led us to Ebubu, Eleme, in Rivers state at an abandoned Shell pipeline borrowed pit where the corpse of Shola was lying decomposed. Ogunsakin said the suspects posed as women in most of these love dating site. As soon as they lured their victim, they would arrange a meeting. The lady’s duty is to meet with the men who are normally very rich. As soon as they get them, she will lure them to a secluded place and alert members of their gang. They would come and tie the person and then go ahead to withdraw money from his account through ATM”.

PDP, Jonathan Making Political Capital Out Of Nigeria’s Security Woes – APC

apc-logoThe All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday accused President Goodluck Jonathan and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of politicizing the nation’s security by engaging in outright deception to exclude governors of the party from Thursday’s national security meeting the Presidency had summoned.

In a statement issued by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in Lagos yesterday, APC said that after deliberately excluding the governors from the meeting, the presidency and the PDP then engaged in outright disinformation and distortion of facts to make it look as if the APC governors deliberately shunned the meeting, apparently in an effort to score political scores from the whole issue.

“It is now clear that despite their inability to protect lives and property and to stop the terrorists attacks in the country, the presidency and the PDP are not interested in any genuine efforts to end the worsening security situation. It is patently obvious that their aim is to make political capital out of the tragedy that has befallen Nigeria, rather than to ameliorate the cruel fate being daily suffered by the citizens”, the APC said.

According to the opposition party, the same presidency that invited all state governors to the expanded National Security Council meeting as announced  by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, had no qualms in duping the APC governors out of the meeting and turning it to a parochial meeting of governors of the PDP and its satellite parties, in reference to the Labour Party and All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, governors, who were at the meeting, only to shift the blame on the same APC governors who were conned.

The party said that after the presidency publicly invited all state governors to the meeting, it then secretly reached out to the APC governors to say the meeting had been called off, only to turn around and blame them for being absent from the meeting.

It added: “The Kwara State Government confirmed that its Chief Detail received a call from the presidency to the effect that the meeting had been called off. Then, the deputy governor of Borno State, who had already arrived in Abuja for the meeting, also learnt that it had been called off. Curiously, the meeting that was announced publicly by the presidency was not even listed among the President’s official engagement for Thursday.

“Despite all these glaring evidence of a grand plot to exclude APC governors, the President’s assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri, the same fellow who tried to malign the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria using a fake name, took to Twitter to tell the world that the APC governors shunned the meeting and to accuse them of playing politics with national security.

“Unfortunately, while the fallacious Omokri was twitting lies, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Gov. Godswill Akpabio, was telling journalists that the APC governors were not invited to the meeting, and that it was initiated by the PDP governors (not minding that the governors of states controlled by the APGA and Labour Party were in attendance).

“Who then is lying between the presidency and the Chairman of the PDP governors’ Forum? Why would the presidency engage in such a grand design just to make the APC governors look bad? Is this a part of the plan to shift the blame for the state of insecurity on the APC and to make the party look bad ahead of the 2015 elections and the preceding ones? Is this in furtherance of President Jonathan’s improper blame of the governors of the worst-hit states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe for the insurgency in their states? Can any genuine efforts to resolve the crisis exclude the governors of the three states?

“The presidency is playing a dangerous game by seeking to make political capital out of an insurgency that has claimed thousands of lives and done incalculable damage to property and the economy. It is now clear that this presidency has its eyes firmly fixed on benefitting from the insurgency, and that it had no interest in any genuine measures to end it.

“Were it not so, the presidency and the PDP would not have attempted to deceive the whole nation into believing that the APC governors shunned a meeting to address the issue. Were it not so, President Jonathan would not have been dancing in Kano, where he went on an illegal electioneering campaign, less than 24 hours after 75 of his compatriots were killed in a bomb blast in Abuja, and even as school girls were being abducted in Borno. Were it not so, the PDP would not have acted to insensitively and irresponsibly by blaming the opposition even as the nation was still grieving”, it said.

APC, however, reiterated its earlier statement that in the overriding interest of the nation, it is willing and ready to be part of all genuine efforts to put a stop to the terrorist attacks, and that only a non-partisan approach could end the security crisis.

Boko Haram Abduction: 14 More School Girls Escape – Borno Commissioner

soldiers-The Borno State Government has announced that fourteen more students of the state-owned Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok, are presently are out harm’s way following their escape from Boko Haram’s camp.

The girls had been held captive since Monday along with about 86 others with fears over their safety.

The state Commissioner for Education, Mr. Musa Inuwa Kubo, who gave an update on the abduction, said 11 of the girls escaped to a town on the Damboa/Biu Road, while the remaining three found their way to the school.

The commissioner, who has temporarily relocated his office to the school to take charge of the situation, said: “I am glad to say that fourteen (14) more students have escaped from their abductors.

“Out of this number, three are currently with me at Government Girls’ Secondary School,Chibok, the scene of the unfortunate abduction, while my Governor, Kashim Shettima, has confirmed to me today that 11 girls have escaped to a town along Damboa/Biu Road in Borno State after they escaped from captivity.

“The 11 ladies were immediately moved from the location to other parts of the state to reconnect with their families.

“The remaining 33 students in Chibok have also been moved out of the school to different parts of the state to join their families. The steps were taken to safeguard them.

“Meanwhile, with this development, we have 44 out of our 129 students at the hostel on the day of attack on the school. This means that we have 85 students yet to join us”.

Thirty students had returned from the custody of the terrorists by Thursday.

Of that number, 14 escaped from their abductors, while 16 were returned by their parents and guardians after they ran home on the day of the attack. The 16 were not abducted, he said.

The commissioner pleaded with parents/guardians whose children and wards ran home to return them to the school so “we could take proper account of our 129 students to know the number of those missing”.

85 of the abducted students are believed to still be in captivity.

Mr. Kubo said that the combined efforts of the security agencies and youth volunteers also known as civilian JTF for the intensive search “may have piled up pressure on abductors and possibly contributing to the escape of 28 students from captivity”.

He added: “We continuously pray that all our students return in good health as well as all the security agents and volunteers safely return.

“We are indeed grateful for the patriotic efforts being displayed by all those involved in the search and rescue operations. We are also very grateful to all Nigerians, institutions and governments within and outside our country for their unflinching support that has remained indelible to us in the education sector of Borno State.

“We once again call on parents and all sympathises to remain prayerful and hopeful that by the grace of God all the students will safely return to school.

“Once again, on behalf of the Borno State Government, my ministry, staff and students of the affected school, parents and relations of affected students, I very well appreciate the Nigerian and international media organisations for their most helpful support.

“I will keep updating any time there is something new which I hope will be positive”.

Suspected Kidnapper Of Two Children Arrested By The Police

Detectives in the Ondo state Police Command for have arrested a man who called himself an actor, Onyeke Michael, over an attempt to kidnap  two children of the same parents  in Ore area of the state.

Michael was paraded alongside 12 other armed robbery suspects said to be tormenting the people of the state in recent times.

The state Commissioner of Police, Isaac Eke said the middle age actor attempted to kidnap one Yusuf Eniola, aged three years and Aisat Eniola, aged two on the 13th of this month.

According to him, Eke pointed out that the accused was found with the two children around Ecobank, Ondo road, Ore and he could not explain satisfactorily how he came about the victims.

He said the timely intervention of the Police saved the suspect from being lynched by the mob.

But the suspect in an interview said that he was only trying to help the children to cross the road when he was apprehended.

The state Commissioner of Police explained that  eight of the armed robbers arrested were living together in a single  room apartment when they were arrested in Odo Alafia street Ondo town.

Items recovered from them include one cut- to- size single barrel, one expended cartridge, one UTC axe, one cutlass, hammer, sword, knife, army belt and a complete pair of Vigilante Group of Nigeria uniform.

The police boss said all the accused persons have confessed to be members of a gang of armed robbers terrorizing the people of Ondo town and its environs while some of the victims they had earlier robbed identified the robbers.

The Commissioner therefore assured the people of the state of security of lives and property during and after the Easter period.

APC Govs To Presidency: It’s Dangerous To Politicize National Security Matters

APC GovsGovernors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday maintained that they were duly informed that Thursday’s expanded meeting of the National Security Council, which was scheduled to hold at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, had been called off.

The governors, under the aegis of Progressive Governors Forum, were reacting to insinuations that they boycotted the meeting.

The Forum’s Chairman and Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, made this known in a rejoinder entitled: “It is Dangerous to Politicize National Security Matters”.

He said that contrary to statements from other quarters, the APC governors were informed on Tuesday night by the presidency that the meeting had been postponed.

Okorocha said it is unfortunate that “a meeting as important as that of the meeting of National Security Council at this trying moment is reduced to a partisan status”.

He noted that as at Tuesday night, 14 APC governors were in Abuja and on Wednesday morning, visited victims of the Nyanya bomb blast in Asokoro and National Hospitals where “we announced our intention to set up a trust to support victims of terror”.

He added: “As a matter of fact, after the visit, we stated categorically ‘This is a time that we must all close hands to ensure the safety of lives and property. This is not a time to talk about politics with people’s lives’.

“It is, therefore, shocking and in bad faith that we are being accused of boycotting a meeting we were duly notified that it had been called off.

“We want to reiterate our call to President Goodluck Jonathan to ‘deepen that particular section of our constitution which guarantees safety of lives and property of ordinary citizens. We urge him to show leadership at this moment and do whatever it is within his capacity and capabilities as President to fish out those who are involved in this act.’

“We stand by this position and, hereby, re-affirm our commitment to work with the Federal Government and all Nigerians to resolve our national security challenges”.

Men In Military Uniform Drove Car That Caused Nyanya Explosion – Witness

The car containing the bomb that exploded at a busy motor park in Nyanya, an Abuja suburb on Monday, was driven to the park by two men in military uniform.

Head of Operations of Isiyaka Nagode Enterprises, Salisu Mukhtar, made this known in an interview with a PUNCH correspondent in Abuja on Thursday.

But the allegation has been denied by the Nigerian Army.

Mukhtar also said that staff of the company had been questioned by the police.

He stated, “Somebody that slept there told us he was there when two men in Army uniforms entered and parked a car there.

“Two of them came in two cars. They parked the car and left in the other car around 2am. The person that saw them could not challenge them because they were in military uniform. They left in the second car.

“When he woke up around 5am, he still found the car there. Because he was disturbed, he sent one of his boys to our office but we had not come by then. The bomb exploded when the boy he sent was returning and he died in the bomb blast”.

According to him, the FCT police command has begun investigation into the incident, adding that they (the management of the park) did not witness the bomb blast.

“They (police) quizzed us about the incident but we told them we were not there when the thing happened”, he said.

Mukhtar also revealed that he lost seven members of staff in the explosion.

“We have seen their corpses. They are in the mortuary now. Seven of them including loaders and one task force member are dead”.

In his reaction to the allegation, the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen Laleye Olajide, described it as a falsehood which should be dismissed.

Olajide accused those making the allegation of being on a mission to ‘destroy the image of the army’.

The army spokesperson wondered why those making the claim did not speak up immediately after the explosion on Monday, wondering why the revelation is coming several days after the incident occurred.

He said, “Why did they not say so in the beginning when the explosion occurred if it was true?

“Why did they not say it at the time. This thing happened how many days ago, it happened since Monday and I have not read it anywhere. People said they even recovered the bodies of the bombers, they did not say the bodies were recovered with military uniform.

“Why are people just out to destroy the image of the Army? This is falsehood, it is not true. It is just another attempt to destroy the image of the Army”.

Nobody Can Take Jonathan’s Life, Says Aso Villa Chaplain

6c8496cb21dc3aa9210114a7367310b8Chaplain of the Aso Villa chapel, Ven. Obioma Onwuzurumba, on Friday, said despite the prevailing situation in the country, nobody can take President Goodluck Jonathan’s life until he completes his mission on earth.

He added that no human being had the powers to ascertain the number of years a fellow human being would live on the surface of the earth.

Onwuzurumba spoke in a short exhortation he delivered during a special Good Friday service held at the chapel.

The clergyman, who read from Luke 23:46, said the president remained unstoppable to men.

“Nobody can take the President’s life until he is done. You cannot determine how long a human being will live”, he said.

The cleric, however, urged all those in attendance to prepare for the unknown by making peace with God.

He also said how a man departs this world – whether through sickness or accident – is of no consequence.

What matters, according to him, is the person who would receive the departed’s soul at the point of death.

He also spoke on the Transformation Agenda of the current administration, saying though some people claimed not to see anything on ground, the positive developments were real.

He therefore urged Nigerians to continue to lift up the country and President Jonathan in prayers, saying in so doing, the nation would soon overcome its various challenges.

The president attended the service with his mother, Eunice, while the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, was conspicuously missing.

The service featured the reading and short exhortations on the seven words of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Some of those who took the readings were the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Joan Ayo; Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, Mr. Olajide Adeniji; the chapel’s administrator, Mr. Abba Mshelia; and the wife of the chaplain.

Lagos DPO Accused Of r*pe, Threat To Life, Arrested

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Onikan Station, Mr. Adekunle Awe, who was accused of having carnal knowledge of a woman, Idowu Akinwunmi, and threatening her life, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.

It was also leant that two other policemen of the rank of inspector, were arrested to assist in ongoing investigations.

Akinwunmi, a 31-year-old cook, had accused the DPO of defiling her in his office on April 15, 2014.

As a result of the public outcry the victim’s story generated, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, the Lagos State Government and other human rights groups stepped into the matter with a view to ensuring justice was done.

A reliable source, who spoke with PUNCH said, “The DPO has been detained at the Special Investigation Bureau at the command headquarters. Two other inspectors, who were on duty when the alleged offence took place have also been arrested.

“The state government frowns at rpe and if you recall, a new law on rpe was passed not too long ago so we shall be leaving no stone unturned.

“The complainant and the accused persons as well as very senior officers of the command all had a meeting in the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration and I can tell you authoritatively that no stone will be left unturned”.

The development was confirmed by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide.

She said, “As you know, allegation of r*pe is a very grievous one and we have commenced investigation into the matter. The DPO has been relieved of his post and is in custody so as not to interfere with investigations.

“I want to assure the public that the command is not taking it lightly and will make sure that we get to the root of the matter”.

It would be recalled that Akinwunmi, who worked at an eatery on Keffi Street, Ikoyi, was arrested on the orders of her boss for accommodating a customer a male friend of hers, identified as one Friday, contrary to the rules of the restaurant. Her employers provided accommodation for the victim and other staff.

The police were also said to have arrested five others including Akinwunmi’s male companion. Two of her friends, who she pleaded with to come and bail her, were also clamped in detention.

The victim had said she was forced into having s*x with the DPO, who refused to use protection, despite her entreaties, after he had threatened to kill her and allow her to rot in prison if he she did not cooperate. She also alleged that she paid N30, 000 as bail.

There’s No Justification For 40% Reduction In Osun Federal Allocation, Says Aregbesola

Aregbe_383661331Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has described as unjustifiable a 40 per cent reduction in the federal allocation being received by the state since July 2013.

Aregbesola made this position known in Lagos on Thursday at the launching of a book, ‘Yoruba Elites and Ethnic Politics in Nigeria: Obafemi Awolowo and Corporate Agency’, authored by an associate professor at the University of California-Davies, Wale Adebanwi.

The governor, who is a member of the opposition, All Progressives Party, APC, said the reduction could not be justified as there was no shortfall in the nation’s crude oil receipts.

Said he: “If there is anything my state does not have now, its money. We are managing with 40 per cent reduction in our allocation from the Federal Government. It is not as if I even enjoy saying I depend on the federal allocation, but the truth is that there is no magic that I would have done to suddenly take our state out of dependence on the federal allocation.

“It is important for us to know that there is no justification for that 40 per cent reduction in our allocation. The price of crude oil has remained almost the same at $108 per barrel, and the benchmark, according to them, is $75 per barrel”.

Insecurity: Call 112 emergency line, NEMA tells Nigerians

In the wake of the renewed loss of lives to terrorist activities in the country, the National Emergency Management Agency has urged Nigerians to cultivate the habit of calling the 112 emergency line.

The agency argued that to mitigate disasters in the country, the 112 national emergency line put in place by the Nigerian Communications Commission must be put to use.

Urging Nigerians to always report “anything suspicious” in their environment by dialing the line, NEMA stated that all kinds of emergencies would be handled by relevant security agencies.

“For all kinds of emergencies and disaster mitigation, please dial the 112, emergency number,” NEMA stated in a Twitter post.

The NEMA social media enlightenment campaign came just as the police assured that they have not lost sight of their mission of making Nigeria a safe and secure environment for everyone.

The police, in a message on its official Facebook page, pleaded with Nigerians to support its officers and men with “information” to nip crime in the bud.

Giving security tips on how to help prevent recurrence of loss of lives to bombings, the police said Nigerians need to always pay attention to their surroundings.

“The Nigeria Police Force’s red alert is not intended to induce fear and panic. Nigerians should go about their normal business while paying attention to their surroundings.

“Whenever you see something, say it out. It is important to report suspicious activity to the police station or any other government security agency’s post.

“Report any unusual act. All resources are being deployed to ensure adequate protection of lives and property across the nation,” the police said.

The police, however, chided those it said have taken to social media to demand explanations from security agencies over the recurrent cases of terrorism.

The security agency said the barrage of online enquiries amounted to “distractions,” adding that investigators need to be given more time to focus on their work.

“This is a sensitive investigation. We want to solve this crime within a limited time. Nigerians, please support us with information.

“Please, we don’t want distractions. We don’t want to give out piecemeal information. We’ll brief citizens on our findings as soon as it’s ripe to do so,” the police added.

Meanwhile, a non-governmental organisation, Ohaha Foundation, has said Nigerians should not hesitate to turn in their voluntary donations to victims of the Abuja bomb blast.

Decrying the unabated killing of innocent Nigerians, the Abuja-based foundation wrote on its Twitter page that making voluntary donations to the victims would go a long way in giving them some respite.

It said Nigerians should not just sit in the comfort of their rooms and lament the situation but move towards contributing to the recuperation of the victims.

The foundation wrote, “It’s increasingly becoming very clear that we can’t fix today’s challenges with yesterday’s solution. We need to constantly innovate solutions!

“But there is so much we can do with that N1,000 or more to help victims of the Abuja bomb blast. Talk is cheap, it’s time to act. Support these people affected in the Abuja bomb blast. Please, make your donations to them.”

Meanwhile, a former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has faulted the timing of President Goodluck Jonathan’s security meeting with service chiefs. She said the President should have convened the meeting immediately after the Nyanya carnage, rather than attending the Kano political rally.

She challenged the Federal Government to conduct a public poll on citizens’ opinion of the “President’s Kano partying” to determine its appropriateness and timing.

Writing on her Twitter page, Ezekwesili said, “If, the day after Nyanya tragedy, our President convened a security meeting and conveyed a strong message to the terrorists, that would have been brilliant!

“Today’s (Thursday’s) security meeting rightly convened by our President is the activity of government that should have happened the day he (Jonathan) partied in Kano! A self aggrandising partisan political party event by our President is not an activity of government. It is quite pitiful.

“I can almost predict that it will come to pass one day that the President will realise these praise-singing folks are the ones who do not wish him well.”

Abuja Blast: Group Urges Plateau Residents To Be Alert

Jos Forum of the Switzerland-based Centre for Human Development has urged citizens of Plateau State to be at alert, following recent attack at Nyanya, Abuja where over 70 lives were lost.

It noted that attacks could have a spill over effect in Plateau and warned citizens to be wary and avoid crowded places.

The organisation with headquarters in Geneva and African regional office in Nairobi, Kenya, has been conducting inter-communal dialogue and conflict mediation among all the ethnic nationalities in Plateau, especially in Jos North, Jos South, Barakin Ladi and Riyom local government areas where Fulani herdsmen have ravaged ethnic communities.

It was gathered that the men who were heavily armed with dangerous weapons stormed various private hostels of the university one after the other and robbed occupants of their properties.

The men were said to have dispossessed the students of their belongings including laptops, mobile phones, money, beverages, wrist watches among other things.

Chingy Opens Up On Transexual Scandal

American rap artist, Chingy, has been off the spotlight for quite a long while without leaving a clue on why his career suddenly came to a pause.

After dropping off of the map for a few years, the St. Louis rapper Chingy has resurfaced and wants to clear the air on what really happened.

Back in 2010, a transsexual named Sidney Starr, who was looking for 15 minutes of fame, took to the media to say that she and Chingy had a secret homie-lover-friends undercover relationship, which set the hip hop world ablaze. Two years later, Sidney resurfaced to say that not only did she lie about her relationship with Chingy, but that he didn’t even know she was a transsexual when they met at a show in Chicago. Unfortunately, by then, the damage was done and Chingy’s career had already taken a hit.

Chingy and Sydney Star at the show

Speaking on the matter in a recent interview, Chingy has opened up about the false accusations, and explains the aftermath, which included him losing a record deal and tons of bad publicity. Read his side of the story below;

“I remember that day we had that show when me and Ludacris had that show in Chicago. The promoter had some girl dancers on stage that were dressed in body paint just for promotion, promoting whatever he wanted them to promote. And one, who I thought was a young lady, came up to me that wanted a picture, I just took a picture. I thought she was a fan. I thought it was a young lady who was a fan. She seemed pretty cool. I took the picture and that was it.

“Two years after that I see something come out of some bullcrap about this transsexual person was in a relationship with me. I was just like everybody else. I didn’t have a clue as to what this person was talking about. But what happened was, it made me not want to take pictures with people that….with a man that’s in touch with his feminine side a little too much, or a woman that’s in touch with her masculine side a little too much. It made me not want to take pictures with those type of individuals.

“Before I got in this business, I didn’t know anything about somebody trying to sabotage my career [and] my name. That was foreign to me. I thought, I ain’t did nothing to nobody. Why would they want to try something like that with me? So that was foreign to me, so when them people did that it was a shock, but I still was cool. I still was good, but everybody else was taking to it. It actually…it injured my career a little bit. I watched it happen. I lost a deal because of that.[...]A record situation. I lost a deal over that.

“I’ve never been through a sabotaging situation like that, and it was so fabricated. False. And I watched people take to it and it was just crazy. I can’t even…it was beyond me.

On how he would react if he saw Sidney Starr today;

“First off, I’m a humble dude. I’m a forgiving dude. And that’s another thing…if people know anything about what Jesus spoke of in the Bible you know it was about love and forgiveness. So, I’m a forgiving dude. I would tell that person…which I’ve already told that person how I felt about it because that person contacted my people. I forgave them. I forgave the person because it ain’t no need for me to hold no grudge. It don’t mean that just because that person chose to be evil don’t mean that I gotta be evil right along with them. I’ma stay good-natured. Stay good-hearted. I would tell that person that was pretty messed up. That was foul. I [ended] up losing a lot for that. While they was trying to gain something that they still didn’t gain and trying to walk over people to get where you wanna get, that’s not the way to go. That ain’t it. Because a circle is 360 degrees. So what that tells me is what comes around, goes around.”

Blatter Wants Severe But Effective Penalties for Crowd Disturbances and Racism

President of the world football governing body, Joseph Sepp Blatter, has advocated for newer, but “effective” sporting sanctions in the fight against racism.

The 78-year-old opines that point deduction will go a long way in involving various teams in the campaign against football hooliganism, which has been exhibited at all levels in world football.

“Sporting sanctions are the only effective punishment,” said Blatter. “It has to cause the clubs real hurt, otherwise nothing will change.

The NPFL's Fight Against Hooliganism: The LMC Have Engaged the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence to Enhance Security at Match Venues. Image Credit: LMC.

“It is the troublemakers who must be punished. And it is clear to me that the clubs are responsible for the hooligans.

Stadium ban, as nonetheless one of the punishments approved for the anti-racism and discrimination resolution penal code at last year’s Fifa Congress in Mauritius, has been widely employed in contemporary cases of match disturbance.

Swiss club FC Basel were ordered to play two of their Europa Cup matches following incidents of crowd disturbance and team’s improper conduct during their round of 16 second leg in Austria against Salzburg.

And most recently, the Ukrainian football association was hit with a stadium ban after its fans chanted xenophobic words and displayed Nazi symbols at a World Cup qualifier against San
Marino in Lviv.

Following unsuccessful appeal, the Ukrainians now play their
first home qualifier for the 2018 World Cup behind closed door.

In his column for Fifa Weekly, Blatter likened football behind closed door to “a carnival celebrations without costumes”, while stressing it is “an extremely dubious instrument which represent a disproportionately collective punishment”.

He wants “drastic and severe” sanctions, which does not penalise football.

According to the Fifa’s disciplinary code, cases of racial abuse attracts a warning for first offence and then stricter sanctions such as stadium closure, points deduction or even expulsion from competitions for subsequent offences.

Meet Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists 2014 – The Forbes

According to Forbes, Diddy, Dr Dre, Jay Z, Birdman and 50 cent are the richest Hip Hop artists in the world currently…in that order. Didddy is now worth $700million. Wow! See the full report below…

Back in 2007, Sean “Diddy” Combs teamed with Jay Z and 50 Cent to create a song titled “I Get Money: Forbes 1-2-3 Billion Dollar Remix.” Less than a decade later, rappers are closing in on ten-figure fortunes, and he’s the nearest of the bunch.

Diddy leads the pack with an estimated fortune of $700 million, an increase of $120 million over his net worth last year. The change comes largely from the addition of Revolt TV—the new, music-focused, multi-platform channel of which he’s the majority owner—to his already-hefty portfolio.

Diddy has plenty of competition in the race to $1 billion. His top challengers are Dr. Dre, who ranks second with $550 million, and Jay Z, in third place with an estimated $520 million. The former leapfrogged the latter on this year’s Forbes Five thanks to a large stake in Beats By Dr. Dre, which he cofounded with Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine in 2008.

The company controls an astounding two-thirds of the premium headphone market, with annual sales reportedly in excess of $1 billion and growing. Private equity firm Carlyle invested $500 million for a minority stake last year, pushing Beats’ value past $1 billion and likely closer to $2 billion.

“Beats has a unique brand—it speaks to a nice young demographic, which is really interesting to marketers,” says Peter Csathy, former president of Musicmatch, an early digital music purveyor acquired by Yahoo YHOO +0.11% in 2004 for $160 million. “When I think about Beats, I think about it as a lifestyle, I think of it as a media company, not just a hardware and music-focused company.”

Jay Z’s fortune continues to grow at a healthy clip, too. He’s made multiple nine-figure deals in the past, including his $204 million Rocawear sale in 2007 and his $150 million pact with Live Nation in 2008. But much of his recent growth comes from Roc Nation, his record label and management firm that recently added a sports agency. The outfit gets a single-digit cut of pacts like Robinson Cano’s $240 million monster agreement.

Bryan “Birdman” Williams, whose net worth would be over $300 million if he didn’t share his fortune with brother Ronald “Slim” Williams. The duo cofounded Cash Money Records two decades ago; Cash Money continues to grow with a roster that includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. Birdman has also diversified with Cash Money Content, GT Vodka and the YMCMB clothing line.

Rounding out the list is 50 Cent, who owes most of his fortune to his $100 million haul from the sale of Vitaminwater in 2007. Now he’s trying to repeat the feat with companies like SMS  Audio and SK Energy beverages. In the meantime, he’ll reboot his music career by taking his G-Unit Records independent and releasing new album Animal Ambition in June.

Photo:- How hoodlums butchered man over farmland in Edo state

Youths from Iviukha in Weppa Wanno community in Etsako East Local Government Council of Edo State are beating war drums following the death of one of their sons, Oseni Ekhameye who died as a result of injuries he sustained when people from Ikpele in Okpekpe clan attacked him while working in his farm land.
One of the deceased wives, Umoru Otsemobo who incidentally hails from Okpekpe clan was not spared too as the attackers used machetes on her while she attempted to run to the farm to inform the deceased that trouble was looming. The  wife is currently at the emergency ward of the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

Saturday Vanguard gathered that the incident which happened last Sunday was as a result of the controversy over the ownership of a farmland which Ekhameye and his peopled claimed ownership of and accused the people of Ikpele of encroaching into their land.
The unsuspecting Ekhameye was said to have hired some labourers who operate in groups in his community to work in the farmland that faithful day not knowing that death was looming.  His assailants were said to have earlier ravaged his farmland, uprooting the crops he had few days earlier planted.
Saturday Vanguard learnt that his brutalised  wife had gone to the village to report the incident of the destruction of their crops in the farm when she overheard the people planning to attack her husband at the farm.  She immediately left the house of the community head where she went to make the report to race back to the farm to inform the husband of the planned attack.

Lindsay Lohan Admits She Wrote The Leaked ‘s*x List’ Conquest

Controversial actress — Lindsay Lohan made headlines worldwide months ago when a list she allegedly wrote of her “conquests” hit the Internet.
During  her appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, April 16, Lindsay admitted that she did in fact write the list, but wouldn’t “confirm or deny” what she did with the names on it.
Names like Zac Efron, Orlando Bloom, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Timberlake were on the list.
“That was actually my fifth step in AA (Alcholics Anonymous) when I was in Betty Ford. Someone must have taken a photo of it, it’s really unfortunate…I cannot confirm or deny,” she

Harrysong: “I don’t have any woman in my life”

2 (1)
Singer and songwriter, Harrysong recently granted an interview to Vanguard in which the fast rising singer tells us about his musical career, love life, and relationship with Kcee.
When he was asked about his love life, Harrysong says he has no woman in his life:
“I believe in a good relationship and I believe in love because I know it’s a beautiful thing. But what I’m up to now is my music and my career. Also, I love my fans because I know they are the ones who made me what I am today.
Presently, I don’t have any woman in my life and I look forward to the day I will find the right woman.”
On his relationship with KCee, Harrysong says:
“Kcee is my brother and my friend, and we’ve been together for like seven to eight years now. Like I said earlier, I met him at O’jez in Surulere, when he came to watch me perform at the club . So that day, after watching me performed, they (KCPresh), sprayed money on me and encouraged me. I was a nobody before he met me. He and his friends used to come there to watch me perform .So one day, I decided to approach them and they put me through and that is how we became very close.”
He also cleared the allegations that he is trying to take Presh’s place:
“Yes, I’ve had questions like that, but I’ve been ‘Harrysong’ all this while. That I’m trying to take the place of Presh is not true, because Presh and Harrysong are two different people. By being different, I mean in terms of my music, sound, the kind of message I preach and so on. I preach love, life and unity, even my name is different, so it will never happen.’

Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha

The incumbent speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Chief
Ben Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu (Aka) ODOKOROMEE, could as well be described
as the proverbial child born with “GOLDEN SPOON”. The late father
Chief B.O. Uwajumogu, a business mogul was so    “WEALTHY” that his
children including the speaker virtually had every comfort at their
beck and call. They were spoilt and practically pampered to a fault as
the typical bournvita and ovaltine kids.

But beneath the rich family background, was a man who was deeply
religious, that to his credit was the establishment of a branch of
Apostolic church right inside the thick UMUIHI rural area of
Ihitte/Uboma LGA. Chief B.O.  Uwajumogu had earlier disagreed with the
other foundation members of the church that he was left with no other
option than to resort to building his own church (SAVIOUR
EVANGELISTICAL CHURCH) in the village where he regularly worshipped.
Late B.O. Uwajumogu also had the rare privilege or luck of being an
in-law to late Chief Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe who was married to his
niece, late Florence Nwaeruru Mbakwe. This relationship more than
anything else brought them even closer so much that at the death of
Florence  Mbakwe in 1980, Chief Uwajumogu  built a secondary school at
UMUIHI to immortalize the deceased with the building of the “NWAERURU
MBAKWE SECONDARY SCHOOL UMUIHI”. Though he had a powerful political
ally and friend in late Mbakwe, late Benjamin O. Uwajumogu was highly
apolitical but devoted his time, energy and resources towards
expanding the B.O. Uwajumogu and sons Business Empire which was a sole
distributorship to the Nigerian flour mills ltd, Nigerian Breweries
ltd and a host of other multinationals. With Mbakwe as Governor of the
old Imo State, the business empire soared and flourished even more
because late Uwajumogu served as an unseen Economic Adviser to Sam
Mbakwe and had the rare credit of being the brain child of a number of
the industrial complexes built by Mbakwe. It was also a known fact
that Mbakwe invested heavily on B.O. Uwajumogu and son’s ltd, which
was entrusted with some of Mbakwe’s buildings at Umuahia,
Portharcourt, Aba and Owerri. Unfortunately, B.O. Uwajumogu died three
months (June 12, 1985) after he was released from prison. Chief Sam
Mbakwe was also serving jail term under the government of General
Muhammadu Buhari. General Ibrahim Babangida released him later in
1985. The late B.O. Uwajumogu could not account for these investments
and buildings (that is both cash and structures) before he died
earlier in 1985. No wonder the Ex-Governor died a wretch and at the
mercy of the Imo State government under Chief Achike Udenwa and
Speaker Godfrey Dikeocha.
As soon as the patriarch was dead, the dependants in the wife ( Chief
(Mrs) Uwajumogu) and the heir, Rt. Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu made a mince
meat of the stupendous wealth left behind, frolicking and partying
prodigally so much that as at his election into the Imo State House of
Assembly, only the Eastern Comfort Hotels located at Aba road Umuahia,
a residential house at No 19 school road Umuahia and the village old
mansion was all that ODOKOROMEE could boast of; having frittered away
with an inevitable resort to mortgaging all other properties. He even
borrowed funds from notable people to prosecute his 2011 election. The
late mother (she died in 2005 of cancer) was rumored to be so
benevolent, also to a fault, that most young men who “crossed” her
part after the death of the husband were easily “settled” with both
cash and variable gifts in “appreciation”. Since they were not
instrumental to the sweat expended to acquire such stupendous wealth
and opulence, they spent on frivolities until it was exhausted. Now
left with just the Eastern Comfort Hotels Umuahia which was built from
the existing relics of Uwajumogu and sons Headquarters’ along Aba road
Umuahia which also had a petrol filling station, Rt. Hon Ben Uwajumogu
delved into construction of roads through his personal company-WERDIS
LTD. It was not long before the attempt crumbled leading to his
dispensing with all heavy duty equipment including a low-pay loader
and other bulldozers which were scrapped at less than market prices.
Before this time, the transition committee of General Ibrahim
Babangida was on course. And just as little known Clement Nnadozie was
appointed the State Chairman of NRC in Imo State, Young Ben Uwajumogu
through the military contacts of his sister Chidinma, was imposed on
SDP in Ihitte/ Uboma LGA as chairman in 1991. He was just 27 years. At
this time Chief Engr Francis Anamekwe, the late foster father of Mr
kodichi  Anamekwe (Speaker’s Chief of Staff) was the chairmanship
candidate of the NRC.  The late Engr. Francis Anamekwe of FALCON
Engineering company had been a stiff political opponent of late Sam
Mbakwe’s NPP and by extension an opponent of the Uwajumogu’s who
worked very hard to ensure defeat for Anamekwe’s NPN candidate for the
then ETITI  House of Representatives in 1979 and those of his Amakohia
and Umuihi constituency.

Political rivalry was very  bitter in the council Area of Ihitte/Uboma
with NPN capturing two (2) seats of Uboma  via Chief Ariawa and Amaiyi
via Chief Ogwuegbu; both of who are traditional rulers of their
various communities today. However, whereas the late Anamekwe was able
to influence the victory of NPN at Uboma clan, he lost his immediate
constituency to NPP’s Nwaemerue and Hon. Anakwem who easily won the
Federal House of Representatives under NPP.
Regrettably, these NPP leaders either  died while serving their
tenures or immediately after , and the speculations were that  late
Engineer Francis Anamekwe (FALCON) was instrumental to their
mysterious and untimely death for rubbishing his self acclaimed
political prowess.

Providence therefore played a role in then young Ben Uwajumogu’s
emergence as SDP chairman at the time. Francis Anamekwe was contesting
for council chairmanship under NRC. The contest was so bitter that it
took a number of precious lives and resources before a winner
eventually emerged. The high point of this was the alleged betrayal
and sellout of Chief Ben Uwajumogu to the Anamekwe’s that the SDP
stalwart, Chief Ajaleu (fine boy) who was to testify against late
Francis Anamekwe in court, was shot and brutally killed by hired
assassins in the very early hours of the day of his testimony. Since
then, there has been a marriage of convenience between the two heirs
to the political dynasties of the Uwajumogu’s and Anamekwes; Rt Hon.
Ben Uwajumogu and kodichi Anamekwe respectively. It is a fair weather
friend contraption some people say. While the Anamekwe’s were  luckier
with their matriarch (Madam Monica) and  mother to kodichi who is
alleged to  have forced herself and son kodichi on late  Francis
Anamekwe, fairing better politically, Benjamin and her mum took the
back seat. Madam Monica Anamekwe succeeded her husband as the power
broker and political leader of Ihitte/ Uboma LGA when died.
One two occasions she ensured that her son Kodichi was appointed T.C.
Chairman and sole Administrator of Ihitte/Uboma – she  was within the
said periods, a board member and party leader who cornered everything
meant for UBOMA to herself and self serving son who she is said to
love  even more than her late husband.

While the duo of Kodichi and his mother held sway under Ikedi Ohakim’s
administration, they had nothing to show in Ihitte/Uboma in terms of
infrastructural and social amenities except the renovation of the old
ISINWEKE sports pavilion built by late Patriarch and foster father of

It was therefore suspicious and curious that after  the Nkwerre born
political oracle and genius— Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha
successfully plotted and  made Rt. Hon Ben Uwajumogu the speaker of
Imo State House of Assembly,  the same Kodichi was made the Chief of
staff after allowing Hon Prince Ugochukwu Nzekwe to function in that
capacity for only one week. Citizen Samuelson actually wanted to be
made the Special Adviser on political matters but Ben Uwajumogu
pleaded with him to handle the media axis of his office bearing in
mind that the activist and social crusader is a very strong hand even
though he is not a trained journalist.
In order to have total control of the speaker’s office, Kodichi
Anamekwe through his mother (Madam Monica) allegedly cast a spell on
speaker Ben Uwajumogu. The speaker’s office was controlled by three
forces namely (1) Monica Anamekwe through kodichi (2) Dr. (Mrs)
Chidinma Uwujumogu through Emeka Ahaneku and (3) Citizen Ikenna
Samuelson Iwuoha.
Emeka Ahaneku has been Chidinma Uwajumogu’s “Tom – boy” for over 10
years and therefore her eye in that office. Hence the Speakers office
(Imo State House of Assembly actually) through the “General Duties”
department funded Chidinma Uwajumogu’s NGOs namely- Development
Initiative for African Women (DIFAW) and Development Initiative for
African Youths (DIFAY).

The desire of the Anamekwe’s to ruthlessly loot the state through the
office of the speaker made them to allegedly cast a heavy spell on Rt.
Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu who rightfully became their “Mugu”(WHITE MAN)
and  signed so many legal, illegal and manipulated approvals for
Kodichi Anamekwe  vis- avis, road contract scams, employment
racketeering, financial Assistance scams, general supply scams, etc.
No wonder madam Monica Anamekwe (she is over 85 yrs. old) is among the
over 90 ghost workers (aides) of the speaker who received and has
continued to receive monthly salary as a “political appointee”.
Kodichi Anamekwe and Emeka Ahaneku thus became Imo Speakers fronts in
various scams perpetuated in that office. Citizen Samuelson’s
insistence that things should be done the right way made him to become
a marked man two months after Uwajumogu’s emergence as speaker. It can
therefore be stated in clear terms that the present war Nigerians are
witnessing actually started in August 2011.

Speaker Ben Uwajumogu, Chief of staff (Anamekwe) and Chidinma
Uwajumogu through Emeka Ahaneku never felt comfortable when Citizen
Samuelson started returning unspent funds to the speaker. They further
felt uncomfortable when Samuelson started complaining about the
fraudulent activities going on at the office of Imo speaker. They even
felt more uncomfortable when Samuelson refused to make his media unit
available to be used for fraudulent acts.

In the part two of this untold story, I will go in detail in
explaining how frauds, scams and other forms of criminalities were
executed at the speaker’s office. Specifically, I will mention
properties acquired with proceeds of the crime. In his petition to
EFCC, Citizen (Dr.) Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha only mentioned few
properties acquired by the speaker. Rt. Hon Uwajumogu has many more
properties   acquired with state funds.  Citizen Samuelson never
mentioned the ones acquired by the Chief of staff.

Imo speaker has truly looted the state with his cronies. It is on
record that the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Rochas
Anayochukwu Ethelbert Okorocha has in his recent Local Government
assessment tours confirmed majority of the allegations of Citizen
Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha in his petition to the EFCC. The Governor also
has ordered for the arrest and detention of the Chief of Staff to Imo
Speaker, Mr. Kodichi Anamekwe over his involvement in road contract
scams and diversion of the sum of N18, 000,000.00 and N70, 000,000.00
meant for road construction in Ehime Mbano LGA. The same Governor also
ordered the arrest and detention of the Special Adviser to Imo Speaker
on Inter-governmental matters, Mr. Dan Orji over his involvement in
road contract scams and diversion of over N50.4 million meant for road
construction in Ihitte/Uboma LGA.
On behalf of the people of Imo State, it should be stated that it is
not enough for Governor Okorocha to arrest and detain some of Imo
Speaker’s aides over their involvement in fraudulent activities —
Rather the following steps should be taken.
(1)     Mr. Kodichi Anamekwe should be sacked immediately and prosecuted for fraud.
(2)     Mr. Dan Orji should be sacked and quickly prosecuted for fraud.
(3)     Mr. Emeka Ahaneku (Acting SSA media) should be sacked, arrested,
detained and finally prosecuted for being the conduit through which
the Imo State House of Assembly (Office of the  Speaker) funds the
Speaker’s Sister’s Non-Governmental Organizations via the “General
Duties” Department.
(4)     Mr. Godson Amadikwa, Special Adviser on Legislative matters should
be sacked, arrested and prosecuted for having his appointment letter
backdated by several months and the accrued “Salaries” shared with Mr.
Kodichi Anamekwe.
(5)     The over 90 Ghost Workers in the Speaker’s office receiving
salaries should be done away with at once.
(6)     Madam Monica Anamekwe, the head of the Ghost Workers should be
arrested, detained and prosecuted for receiving salaries she did not
work for, and the salaries she has collected in the last 35 months
returned to the state government.
(7)     The properties Mr. Kodichi Anamekwe and other aides acquired with
fraud money should be confiscated without further delay.
(8)     The Rt. Honourable Speaker’s refusal to investigate his aides and
insistently refusing to sack them is an indication that he is the one
aiding and abetting Criminal and fraudulent acts in his office. He
should therefore resign as the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly
(9)     That all the properties Imo Speaker acquired with fraud money
should be confiscated immediately.
(10)    That Governor Okorocha should save himself the actions and
embarrassment of Imo people by taking urgent steps in bringing sanity
at the Imo State House of Assembly. For now, he is “Owelle Global”. He
should not descend to the level of “Owelle local”.
(11)     Honourable members of the Imo State House of Assembly should
save themselves the actions and embarrassment of Imo people by taking
urgent steps to restoring their battered image through the impeachment
of the Speaker.
(12)    That the EFCC should save themselves the actions and
embarrassment of Imo people by taking urgent steps in prosecuting the
Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly.
If they fail to prosecute the Speaker, then Imo people will never
allow them to investigate any other matter in the state.

Watch out for part two for more comprehensive details and complete
pictures of properties acquired by Imo speaker and his Chief of staff.

Woman Murdered 9 People Because They Didn’t Accept Her Facebook Friend Request

This is definitely one of the craziest stories I’ve ever heard. People who live in Monroe, Louisiana are relieved after police took four years to track down a murderer who took the lives of nine people. Luckily, the “Facebook Friend Request Killer” has been jailed. People were overjoyed when they got word 31-year-old Sha’Quonda Johnson had been arrested. Police took Johnson into custody and charged her in connection with nine murders that took place between January of 2009 and December of 2013. Johnson had been dubbed by police as the ‘Facebook Friend Request Killer’ because she would leave a calling card at the scene of every murder related to the friend request feature on Facebook.

The most recent card had an image of the Facebook logo along with two boxes, one displaying the words ‘Accept friend request’ and the other ‘Deny friend request’, with the deny box being checked in red ink. 86-year-old Abel Johnson, great-grandmother to the suspected killer, spoke with CNN about possible motives behind the killings. “Sha’Quonda was always such a nice girl growing up, though she was a lonely child who just wanted friends.

There’s no crime in wanting friends, is there?” Detective Paul Horner with the Monroe Police Department explained how Johnson was finally apprehended. “At every murder scene she would leave a card on the body with scribbled words written such as, ‘Maybe next time you’ll be my friend on Facebook motherfcker’, or ‘who’s got more friends on Facebook now btch!’”

Horner said. “All of the people that were murdered lived in the same apartment building or were people that Johnson knew personally. We then found a Facebook account belonging to Ms. Johnson. In her ‘about’ section she stated, ‘If you don’t accept my friend request I will kill you’,” Horner continued, “She also had written in her profile, ‘If we’re friends on Facebook, we cool. If you don’t want to be friends with me on Facebook, we have a problem’. So yeah, we knew we had the right person.”

79-year-old Leroy Jenkins who was a neighbor of Johnson said he was approached by the suspect just days before the arrest. “I didn’t like her, she was scary. She told me that if I didn’t accept her friend request on Facebook she would literally cut my balls off. So, long story short, I accepted her friend request on Facebook.”

“When we raided Johnson’s home today we found the suspect at her computer. She was on Facebook sending out more friend requests,” Horner told reporters. “It’s a good thing we caught her before she had the chance to kill more innocent victims whose only crime was not wanting to be her friend on Facebook.”

Actor Columbus Short threatens to kill his wife and commit suicide

Troubled actor Columbus Short has been ordered to stay away from his estranged wife, Tuere Short and their daughter after allegedly threatening to kill her and then himself…

From TMZ

Scandal” star Columbus Short has been thrown out of his house and his wife has filed for divorce … after he allegedly put a knife to her throat last week and threatened to kill her and himself. According to a new restraining order — obtained by TMZ — Short got into it with his wife April 7 at their Chatsworth home, where she claims he came into her room intoxicated with a wine bottle in hand, acted like he was going to hit her with the bottle and then unloaded the wine on her.

Tuere Short claims Columbus then ran to the kitchen for a knife, pinned her to the couch and began choking her.  She says he then demanded they play a game he called “Truth or Truth.”  He allegedly said if she lied he would stab her in the leg.

She says he then started naming men he believed she was having affairs with.  She denied them all but he allegedly then put the knife to her throat and threatened murder/suicide.  As she tried escaping she says he slashed her tire.

The restraining order requires Columbus to move out of the house.  We’ve learned cops were there today to ensure the peace as he moved out.

Tuere also filed for divorce Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for sole custody of their 2-year-old daughter.

In addition to the incident April 7th, Short has been charged with criminal domestic violence and child abuse for allegedly abusing Tuere while their child and his son were in the house.  He pled not guilty.  And he was arrested for yet another alleged domestic violence incident a few weeks earlier.

It’s interesting … just last month — after the first 2 domestic violence arrests — Columbus and his wife put on a united front at The Grove in L.A.

Suspected Thugs Murder Middle-Aged Man Over Land Dispute

A middle-aged man, Oseni Ekhameye, was on Friday reportedly killed by suspected thugs hired by a prominent community member over a protracted land dispute between the people of Iviukha in Weppa Wanno and Ikpele in Okpekpe clan of Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.

The middle-aged man was said to have died from severe machete cuts inflicted on him by the suspected thugs.

The assailants also inflicted several machete cuts on one of his wives, Umoru Otsemobo, who hails from Ikpele Community.

She is currently receiving treatment at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) after surviving several machete cuts from the killers of her husband.

It was gathered that the incident which happened on Sunday was as a result of built-up tension over the ownership of farmlands which Ekhameye and his kinsmen claimed belonged to them.

Ekhameye was said to have hired some labourers from his community to help till the land on that fateful Sunday morning.

It was gathered that his assailants had visited the farmland earlier and uprooted the crops he had planted a few days earlier.

His wife had gone to the village to make the report of the incident when she overheard some men making plans to attack her husband. Immediately she left her house, she was followed by a prominent member of the community with three sharpened cutlasses.

She was close to the farm, about a kilometre from the village, to inform her husband of the plan to attack him, when the assailants apparently lurking in a nearby bush attacked the late Ekhameye and the other labourers who were busy on his farm, under the supervision of a member of the community. The assailants inflicted deep cuts on his head and other parts of his body.

They also descended on his wife and would have killed her, if she had not feigned death, but for rescuers who came and rushed them to a hospital in Agenebode, where her husband later died and she was transferred to the UBTH.

The incident created tension in the Ekhameye’s Community, as youths in the area threatened a reprisal attack, but were stopped by the leaders of the community.

The community leaders called on the police and state government to intervene in the matter and ensure that justice is delivered.

When contacted, DSP Moses Eguavoen, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident.

“It was a reported case of inflicted injuries but the victim eventually died while receiving treatment. The case was first reported at the Agenebode Division before it was transferred to the state CID. Arrests have been made and the police will ensure that justice is done and those who are found culpable prosecuted accordingly” Eguavoen said.

How President Goodluck Wooed And Proposed To The First Lady

Here is a beautiful extract from Chapter Six of President Goodluck Jonathan’s authorized biography, Wind Of Hope.
This extract reveals how President Jonathan met the first lady, how they started dating and eventually got married.
“As Goodluck Jonathan embarked on a new and challenging career in politics, he was supported and strengthened by his partnership with his wife Patience. Her parents were determined that their daughter would obtain the best education possible. This decision on their part was responsible for Patience meeting her future husband at the College of Education. He was in fact one of her lecturers in the Department of Biological Sciences.
After concluding his M.Sc. programme, he focused on his job as a lecturer at the College of Education, Rumuolumeni, while preparing for his Doctorate. At that time, he taught students reading for the Nigerian Certificate of Education(NCE) and the B.Ed. Degree. Many young ladies were among his students. One of them was the light-skinned young woman from Okrika named Patience Oba.
He found out that her native name Ebifaka, shortened to “Faka”, was similar to that of his loyal and efficient field assistant, Faka, who brought him crab specimens from Okrika for his M.Sc. thesis. Although he had been particularly circumspect in his attitude towards the issue of developing relationships with students in the past, he began to take notice of this young lady in his class. Remembering their first encounters Patience asserts that as her lecturer he first showed an interest in her because she was conscientious in her academic work.

They were however surprised that as they gathered at the park to celebrate, they were barred by fierce looking mobile policemen who said they were there at the instance of the state government.
According to government officials, they stopped the youths from holding the carnival for fear of the event being hijacked by hoodlums or exposing the state to other security challenges such as an attack from the dreaded Boko Haram.
