*Details Of The Opening Ceremony



          Friday, the 19th of October, 2012 marked another memorable day in the life of Ibadan based Tungba Gospel maestro, Evangelist (Dr.) Yinka Ayefele (MON).  As the Ipoti Ekiti born star commissioned his newly built hotel amidst fun fare.  Parking lot of the hotel were used for the ceremony, where canopies decorated extensively in Yellow and Olive Green was set up.  The beautifully decorated canopies with covered tables and chairs gave way in the middle for a Green carpet that was laid right from the entrance of the hotel and led to the stage.  After the opening prayer by Mrs.  Yemisi Odeyemi, owner of popular Amen Store at Aleshinloye Market, Ibadan, Gospel acts like Taiwo and Kehinde Adegbodu, Otunba Femi Fadipe (Femo Lancaster) entertained the guests.   Before top celebrities like Barr. Ayo Adekanmabi, former SA to ex-gov of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala on Disable Matters, Mrs.  Yemisi Odeyemi and others was called upon to join Oloye Lekan Alabi, the Ikolaba.

          Olubadan who performed cutting of the tape and declared Down Town Hotel and Suite opened.  Other performances of the day include that of Agbasaga Performing Dance Troop, Segun Nabi and popular actor, Lanre Omiyinka aka Baba-Ijesha, who did a comedy song to the amazement of guest.  High point of the event was performances of the big stars like Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (Arabambi 2nd), the man in mask, Yisade Ologunde (Lagbaja) and Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere (PK 1st ).  They charged the atmosphere and made It fun all through.  Dignitaries at the event were Oloye Lekan Alabi, the Ikolaba Olubadan,  Mrs. Yemisi Odeyemi (Amen Store), Alhaji Taiwo Alabi, Baba Toye Ajagun, Alhaja Tunrayo Adeoye, Arc.  Sola Omotso, Rotimi Mathins (Alariwo), all the Oyo FIBAN members, Galaxy Music boss, former AIG, Sir Tunji Alapini, Barr. Adkanmbi and others.  Kofi the comedian anchored the ceremony alongside Yomi Mate (Ifankaleluya).  Also noticeable at the party were these beautiful usher in Down Town Hotel branched polo shirts, leading guests to their seats.  Meanwhile, guests at the party did not only have fun, but marvel at the stylishly built hotel.  Down Town Hotel & Suite is strategically located at Alakia Isebo Road, Iyana Church, Iwo-Road, Ibadan.  The stone finished master piece is a 25 exclusively furnished rooms hotel, with parking lot that can accommodate 100 vehicles conveniently.  Each room is tastefully decorated, especially the four executive suites at the top-most floor with Jacuzzi, reading table, Italian leather seats, LCD TV Screens and above all, their bedspread and pillow casing which comes in foreign clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool logos.  Apart from the inner bar, the hotel is boast of another spacious, well stocked bar by the side which can be use for a mini party.  The unique thing about this bar is not only the fact that one will enjoy fresh air, but it is also neatly arranged with picture frames of super stars and music icons were splash on its wall, which make the whole environment colourful.  All in all, Down Town Hotel & Suit is a must visit place, as words couldn’t described it all.  Everything right from décor, fittings, furniture has an Italian touches.  There is high tech sound proof power generating set for uninterrupted power supply.
